Husband of woman struck by car shoots driver

SEATTLE — A man who struck a woman with his car outside a Seattle motorcycle club Wednesday morning was then shot by the woman’s husband moments later, Seattle police said.

The incident began as a fight at the Seattle Magic Wheels Motorcycle Club around 5:30 a.m., Seattle police officials said. A woman inside the club was punched during the melee. The victim’s husband pulled out a gun and fired at the vehicle, police said.

“The husband of one of the victims got involved, he pulled a gun and fired shots” said Seattle police spokeswoman Renee Witt.

The driver, who was hit by at least one bullet, was driving away from the club when he hit the shooter’s wife. “She left the club went out side and she was run over by the guy that was shot,” Witt said.

The car made it about a quarter mile and then medics discovered the wounded driver at a gas station near Corson Ave. S and S. Michigan Street. He was rushed to Harbroview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment of a gunshot wound to the chest. He’s listed in critical condition.

The husband drove his wife to Harborview himself and was arrested outside the emergency room. There’s no word on the condition of his wife. She shooting victim is in stable condition.
